Fever Detection & Thermal Imaging

Fever detection technology entered the spotlight during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Using thermographic cameras, the skin-surface temperature of individuals entering and exiting a site can be accurately measured with an accuracy of up to 0.3°C whilst using AI to reduce false alarms from miscellaneous heat sources. The system will alert operators within one second of detection.

These systems have been primarily used during epidemics such as the SARS epidemic of 2003 and pandemics such as the Covid-19 pandemic to detect asymptomatic carriers, however they have wider applications within the healthcare sector.
